This is a "self portrait." It shows my silhouette, and is surrounded by a collage of things that I love and that describe me.
This was a collaboration project with an artist we were assigned to. I had to research Tracy Emin, and create a project that coincides with her subject matter and style. She is an artist that focuses on the struggles of females, especially herself. She uses large text and short phrases. She also works a lot with neon and neon signs. I made this piece “Armed with Pepper Spray” to reflect on how every girl at UF carries pink pepper spray.
This is a poster I designed showing how we should treat all animals equally. People tend to love and adore dogs, but will torture and abuse cows for their meat.
This is a metaphor project. The metaphor is about student debt. When students graduate, they often decorate their caps with fun, exciting, and positive text and decor. This project takes into account the excitement of graduation and a “new start,” however; in reality, many students are not able to move on from college, because they are burdened with extreme debt that they must start paying once they graduate.
